National Vice Commander Theobald
The year 2009 was a very challenging year, however, I am proud to say that our Region made the membership target goals each time! Membership is vital to every organization and the Membership Chairmen are working extra hard to fulfill the tasks at hand. We are now approaching the 60% target and we in the Central Region have already met that goal a few days ago. I take the time to look at how the Detachments are meeting the challenge with new members, promoting new squadrons, and working on renewal and I do want to let you know I am interested in our progress.
It is with great pride that I can announce that the Central Region has started twelve (12) new Squadrons through December with Ohio starting seven (7) by themselves. This shows when National Commander Mark Arneson asked for new Squadrons, Ohio put those words into action. Great job of leading by example Ohio!. I will mention that Minnesota has one (1) new squadron, Wisconsin has two (2) new squadrons, and Iowa also has two (2). We are about half way thru the year and I do look to see new squadrons in each Detachment. Read Full Article

Central Region StandingsWe thought losing to Favre and Minnesota in football was bad, now we are losing the membership playoffs to Minnesota and Ohio.
I know we can do it, last year at this time we were at 82 percent, so we need a quarterback sneak to get back in the game.
